Top of the Mornin' to Ya

Oh how Irish we feel today. I don't know, but I think it's a big day in Irealand today...I'm sure some important irishman is having a birthday, or something similar. Just in case, i'll give a happy birthday to that lucky irishman! Happy birthday!

Neeext on the list....

Aha! I'm so sorry to tell you but I am going away for a couple of days. I'm going to stay at a friends house, which means I won't be able to get to a computer until sunday(monday if i'm not sober enough on sun)

I sure am hoping that when I get back on monday, that this weekend will have taught everyone a good lesson for the upcoming week.

Guess that's about it. Don't have anything else to say.

Remember! Drink up, smoke your lungs dry, party like its your last day, tell your loved one you love him/her, stay healthy, don't kill anyone and don't lay a hand on a kid.

There, some good 'ol wisdom from a guy...who hasn't got much!

Right and my NHL predictions!

I predicted Detroit - Tampa Bay ---- 4-3

Result: Detroit won 4-2. Close one

NY Rangers - NY Islanders ---- 4-2

Result: Rangers won 4-2 . YEAHHHH BABY!!! I GOT ONE RIGHT!!!! HAHA IN YOUR FACE!

Nashville - Ottawa ---- 1-5

Result: Nashville won 6-5. Woah way off...well fuck that I got one right.

And of course as I promised, I will go and get a haircut. Yes!.....but I never said when.

Have a good weekend!

NHL scoop

So I haven't been updating you folks with the NHL in awhile, and since that was a promise I made when I started this blog, I just feel awful for breaking it.

Which is why I'm gonna give you the biggest, fattest, most tasty, juicy and awesome NHL post today.

Okay sorry that was a lie too. I'm just gonna post some scores and predictions and of course some of my personal whining.

Philadelphia is sure looking hotter every week, last night they slayed Carolina in a 3-1 bloodbath.
Good news for finnish people, Kimmo Timonen scored a goal, and just because I like Danny Briere i'll give him congrats for a point in this game.

It must be tough for the guy. He's young, spent most of his hockey career in Buffalo, and now he's been thrown in last years biggest catastrophe team. But he's a good player, and Philly is in the divion lead... Makes you wonder... could Mr Briere have something to do with this?

Dallas Stars fell to Brodeur and his Devils, which to me is heartache causing news. Stars were on a six game streak, and now they just happen to fall to the pissant Jersey. Brodeur just happened to find his game, and play a good game for the last two periods. And the Stars just didnt have enough cojones to carry out more goals. As for the goaltendning on Stars front, Turco is really having a bad year. Please please get that old geezer out of there and put someone else. Smith or someone. Just get rid of Turco.
Again good news for finns, Jussi Jokinen scored a sweet goal. That warmed my heart a little.

Oh and what wouldnt be complete without mentioning NHLs little cinderella story.

Chicago Blackhawks. Geez have we been waiting for the rise of this team. Well if you haven't heard they pretty awesome theese days. They're on a winning streak, and they can snap that second division spot(Detroit is the lead). Patrick Sharp, and Jonathan Toews are the rookies of the year and they are playing better then most NHL veterans. Good riddance.
Martin Havlat returned last night and showed that he still rules, shoving in two pucks in the net.

Thats about it. The NHL is looking fine. They've all been good without me poking on them.

Now for my magic predictions.

Tamba Bay - Detroit ----- Oh there's no way Tampa will win this one. 4-3 Detroit

NY Islanders - NY Rangers ----- Ahhh the battle of NY. May the Lundqvist be with them. 4-2 Rangers

Nashville - Ottawa ------ Ottawa crushes the poor Preds. 5-1 Ottawa

Tomorrow we'll get back to the results. And let's make it interesting, If I get ANY of the predictions right, I'll go and get a haircut. Yes, thats my promise(you know how I keep my promises)

Over and in! (Hah!)

The Questionnaire of Bernard Pivot

So i've been watching theese Inside The Actor's Studio clips on YouTube, and it's been like a freakin drug and I love it.

I would loove to get all of the episodes in some way, but I've looked and it's hard.

In short, it's a show where actors and directors come and kinda "open up" and tell stories about how they got to where they are, in front of a audience that consists of acting/director students. It's really insipiring to watch it, and the interviewer, James Lipton is just the perfect man to do the interviews.

At the end of the interview, he asks the actors/directors 10 questions, and I thought of posting theese 10 questions here, so you can ask yourself them and have fun. They're quite fun.

1. What is your favourite word?
2. What is your least favourite word?
3. What turns you on/inspires you?
4. What turns you off?
5. What sound or noise do you love?
6. What sound or noise do you hate?
7. What is your favourite curse word?
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
9. What profession would you not like to do?
10. If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

So, I thought i'd put my two cents in and give you my 10 answers to that

1. Gay (don't ask why)
2. Any finnish-swedish word.
3. Music
4. Arrogancy
5. My cellphone ringtone(Homer singing Spider Pig)
6. Alarm clock
7. Tough one... depends on the language. In swedish i say "fan" all the time, which is a curse word but doesnt feel like a curse word anymore, it's just a fill in between words and sentences.
8. Well my goal is to become a director, so if I was a director, other than that actor maybe...
9. Any fast-food joint.
10. I don't believe in God, or heaven, so I surely hope he would say...."Hah just kidding." And disappears.

Since this was so much fun, I thought i'd post this list with answers once a week. I know it sounds gay(yay), but I will certainly change my mind several times, thus making the answers different probably once a week. So, check back in a week for other answers.

Oh and feel free to post on the comments your own answers to the 10 questions.

Painkiller

Oh how I'm all about clips today.

Well I was listening to this song today and just said to myself; People who think they've heard greatest solos in the world...and haven't heard this one...may someone up there have mercy on their soul.

Anyways, this is Judas Priest - Painkiller, and the solo(s) are amazing. They start at 2:09, and strap yourself, cause its a hell of a ride.

Eddie Murphy <3

Oh yes. I've been searching for this clip for ages. And finally I found it.

If you don't know who Eddie Murphy is, i'd lke to know under what rock you've been living under, cause that sure sounds like an awesome rock.

This is from the movie Beverly Hills Cop, and in my opinion the funniest scene of the movie. Still cracks me up. It's a movie classic, so my advice is to see the entire movie.

Hopefully the clip will encourage you to do that.

Enjoy =)

Oh sweet monday - Top 5 Week 48

Again I know I'm a little late with the post today, but better late than never. So since there's not much else on my mind except for this beautiful list, let's get right to it.

. 5 - Jaegermeister

Of all the kinds of drinks that we constantly and shallowly pour into our mouths, I personally find that the Jaeger does the trick.

Most people don't really care what they're drinking, as long as it's strong and the quicker it gets to your head, the better. Which is in my opinion so sad. When you're drinking, you wanna enjoy it. Even though it tastes like crap, you want to really feel that taste, cause you're gonna be reminded of that taste later when you've poured the entire bottle.

Jaeger has it all. The taste, bitter, coffmedicine-like refreshing taste. In big portions can even tickle your throat a little bit, and of course, if served ice cold, makes you walk on heaven. To put a long story short, the best booze for shots, the best booze for gettin drunk, the best booze for enjoying being drunk, and most imporantly; The (almost)best booze for feeling like crap in the morning. Cheers!

.4 - Christmas

As we dig deeper in the list, we discover yet more interesting stuff.

I know Christmas isn't here yet, but still, it's time to shed some light on it. Christmas is defintely my favourite holiday of all. Only Christmas can bring you that wonderful, cuddly and warm feeling in heart, and at the same time make you so sick, hateful, stressed and panicked at the same time. It's quite something.

Santa Clauses everywhere, red balls, green trees, lights...Christmas here in Finland is basically like Vegas, except that we have snow here. And come think of it, now with the global warming and all, we probably wont have anymore of those wonderful white christmases. Thanks a lot Al Gore, you're a little late.

.3 - Master of Puppets - Metallica

Oh and how this was just bound to happen sometime. I'm sorry folks, but I just can't get enough of trying to spread the love that is Metallica. And to be more precise, to spread the love of the song Master of Puppets. It's got everything you would want in a song. The riffs, the solos, the bridges, the lyrics, the choruses...oh and how it all just comes toghether to being the BEST, yes, I said THE BEST goddamn song in the world.

Basically if you like Thrash, Metal, Rock, ANY of those genres, and don't find Master of Puppets to be the song of the week, then I really feel sad for you. I'm sorry, I just do.

I'll squeaze in a clip from the best concert ever (Seattle 89), when they played that song, and I don't think it has been played better, ever.

.2 - Family Guy

And deeper we go. This is a very underestimated show, being all the time overshadowed by The Simpsons. But if you like The Simpsons, and gave Family Guy a chance, chances are you'll like it.

Now sure, the "main character" Peter Griffin, is heavily influenced by the man Homer Simpson, and it's quite unfortunate, cause sometimes it feels that they are basically the same character. And thats an area where Family Guy may fall flat. However! Thanks to the other characters, Family Guy manages to stand on its own, and at some points even overpower of the greatness of Simpsons.

There's not much I can say, you just have to watch a good episode to fall in love with them, and for those who have seen it, and not liked it, chances are you watched a bad episode. Which is why i'll recommend one, and you'll promise to watch it. Deal? Sweet.

Okay so the episode that I find to be very newcomer friendly is

Family Guy - Season 2 - Episode 15 - Dammit Janet

Watch it.

.1 - Money/Cash/Paper/Stash/Greens/Bills/Dough/Sugar/Bucks/Currency

And soo here we are again. The king daddy. This should be your concern for the week.

Let's be honest. Okay, no bullshitting. What is the most important thing in the world? Whatever your answer is, look over there. Yes by the 1, and look the right of it, and imagine, if you had a case, which was filled with the biggest paper bill of your currency that you use, like thousands of them, would you not feel as the luckiest man/boy/guy/old guy/bastard/assface, or the luckiest woman/girl/lady/bitch/witch/hag in the world??

Cause seriosly, it's the key to all things in life. The thing is, you have to know how to spend it. If you don't know, then you wont find happiness. It's a key, use it right, and you'll find paradise. Use it wrong, and you'll open your personal hell. Ask almost any celebrity, they'll confirm what I'm saying.

This may have not been a "happy" list for some of you, but life sucks sometimes, and you just have to learn to live with it. Remember, if you'd be happy all the time, and never experience sadness or pain, how could you tell that you are happy?

Lovebirds!

Hello dear friends and foes!

Ahh what better than to sit down, relax, and write on your blog?

Well I can think of a lot better things, but since I'm right now out of those, this will have to do.

This is very hard, cause there are things that I would like to share with you people, then again I kinda don't wanna share em =P So this is a bit difficult...

But to sum up, life's great, and you don't want to take it for granted. Go out! Have fun! Hang out with friends, girlfriends! It's never too late to start enjoying your life.

And to conclude this....well pretty unnecessary and I think a little bit irritating post, I'd like to give a special message to a very special person, she is the most beautiful person in the world, and I got to hold her hand tonight, which meant more than anything. It doesnt sound much, but in the moment, it was.

If she's reading this, she knows.

Thank you.

Friday, November 23

It's a beautiful mooorning!!

Theeeee mooooornings heeeeere!

As said, the morning is here, and it's fuckin' amazing. Not only is it Friday, which means paaaarty, its also a great time of year, for me, and hopefully for you too!

Yes I may be extra happy today, and yes sure there is a reason, but in the words of someone who said this line, "My private life stays private".

Today's advice to everyone, is to don't worry, be happy, drink alot, keep music close to your heart and you'll do fine!

To honor today's beautiful day, I thought I'd show you all a live video, from the Kings of Thrash, from a gig in 1989(the best gig ever), and in my opinion the best live video i've ever seen in my life.

If you don't like it...well...ah I'm sorry I can't even threaten you cute people today. Happy Friday! =)

Snuggly

Well as we come closer and closer towards December, and the weather becomes colder and colder, we suddenly find ourselves much more indoors than outdoors.

Its too cold to go out and hang out with friends, and it's too warm to do any "winter" activities, so basically you're stuck with being at home(or somewhere else indoors)

Which finally brings me to the reason for why I'm typing this bullshit.

It's because since we spend so much time in front of the TV or the computer, nothing sure beats watching a good movie! Whether you're doing it alone in the dark on your sofa, or whether you're snuggling under a blanket with your loved one, watching a good movie can sure either put a big smile on your face, or make you cry and eventually making you feel sorry for yourself. It's all good.

So I thought i'd take this opportunity to recommend a good movie. Actually two movies. One movie for putting that smile on your face, and one for making you cry so much that if one tear doesnt drop, you are basically dead inside.

Movie 1

Simpsons The Movie

Okay basically if you are one of those sad people who haven't seen this one yet, now is the goddamn time. And for those of you who have seen it, hopefully theese words will make you wanna see it again.

Everyone knows I'm a big Simpsons fan, so it was no shock that I loved this movie. However, even if you're not a fan, there sure is enough silly comedy in here that will make you crack sooner or later. It's so fun to see a movie which is not afraid to make fun of itself, and even with the whole "movie-goer" type. They'll make fun of you for sitting in a theater, and they'll make fun of themselves for appearing in the theater.

If you've ever seen a Simpsons episode, and found yourself giggling to Homer's wise statements, Barts hilarious laughter and Marge's whining, you'll most likely giggle at this movie too. And giggling is good, giggling is very good.

Movie 2

Crash

Yes this movie is quite old(2004), but it's still one of the best movies ever. Not only is the directing fantastic, but the script is masterfully written, and the actors deliver them as if they were born to say them. It all fits. The story takes a stranglehold on you, no matter who you are, you'll empathize with them.

This is one of the few movies that actually made me cry, and I mean cry cry. And for a movie to have that kind of effect on me, that's something. Kudos for Micheal Peña, who sweeps all the other actors in his ever so touching scene.

Watch this movie. You'll thank me later.

Öhlund slashes Koivu

Okay I know im a little late with this report, but anyways for those who havent heard here's the scoop.

It was Minnesota against Vancouver, Mikko Koivu has the puck, tries to pass by Mathias Öhlund, SLIGHTLY and accidently Mikkos elbow hits Öhlund, and as the aggrevated Swedish little pussy that he is, he takes it like a girl and decides to slash Koivu(From behind, mind you) on the knee. What a low blow... Koivu was the second leading scorer on Minnesota Wild, and a the next to Pavol Demitra for best center.

Öhlund got a 5 game suspension for that....which also is so unbelieveable, that it hurts here**points at heart**, and here **points at the head**. The NHL needs to seriosly consider theese things more. Now Koivu is injured, as Minnesota suffers, we suffer.

F*** you Öhlund. May you rot in hell.

Monday!! Top 5 Week 47

Alrighty-roo its monday everybody!

Which means back to school, work, daycare, rehab, mental institutions...of course for those, you never go out...hah!

Well anyways since it's monday, and I know you kids out there have been waiting for this for an entire week(I'm very impressed) Here is the Top 5 of this week!

As usual, this is simply a list of 5 things which I think deserve attention, and you all would do well to give them the attention!

.5 - DragonForce - Through The Fire And Flames

At the fifth position, we have the oh so crazy power metal song, from the sick band DragonForce. First off, this song is included in the game Guitar Hero 3, and if you don't know what that is, check it out. This is known as probably the most difficult song ever to be in the GH-series, and i've seen it, and as a quite expert on GH as I am, yes, it's impossible.

Well thats only the GH version. For us real guitarists, checking the tabs of this song is quite the adventure too. And there also I can say, that it is impossible. The solos are crazier than Rusty Cooley. Now the riffs are doable, but other than that it's just silly.

As for the sound of the song, I quite like the intro to it, all the way to 00:39 the song is quite good, but after that it falls flat. My advice, dont listen to it more than that.

.4 - Jussi Jokinen

This is no suprise. Jussi Jokinen deserved a spot at the Top 5, and please lets all prey that he keeps shoving those pucks in this week too. Cause that kid deserves it.

Not only is he a penalty shot specialist, but he is potentially the best player in Dallas Stars, and the best finnish player out there. All he needs is ice-time, and the puck, and trust me he will produce. So please if any Dallas Stars affiliated General Managers, or maybe even you Dave Tippet, coach of Dallas Stars is reading this, please please if you want Jussi to get you to the playoffs, give him the space and ice-time he needs. Trust me on this. It's me after all =)

.3 - The Killers

When I first listened to them, I was SHOCKED! How come i've never heard of this band before? They may be very underappreciated, they get little credit for their amazing songs, but in my book, The Killers are a top notch band. The singer Brandon Flowers(hihi) has an amazing voice, and with the combination of their alternative-disco-rock and his voice, they come toghether as a band worth listening to.

Best song: Somebody Told Me

Thank you Stella =)

.2 - ESP EX-260/BLK

Yes. Here is daddys guitar. This is the one. Oh yeah.

After much consideration, and lots and lots of thinking, and many many headaches, and plenty of brain trauma, and a little medication, I have finally decided!

Now granted there were many to choose from, and there's so many things to consider when choosing your life partner. You have to think of the looks, the shape, the colour, the inlays etc.

And then, you have to think about the inside, the pickups, the material, the bridge and tailpiece, the electronics etc.

And so the crowned winner of this beauty pageant, is the ESP EX-260. Its got everything I would want in a guitar, and i'm fairly certain that we will live happily ever after.

Here's a pic for all you perverts to drool at. ESP EX-260.

Baby!!! Daddy is coming to get you!!!

PS. The donation process is still going, so feel free to throw your money at me. Seriously, I'm fine with it.

.1 - Homer Simpson

And now here we are. The king of the list. The reason for which all of you even took a look at this blog.

Homer Simpson. My idol. My hero. The only man...fictional man...who is so wonderfully stupid, and wise at the same time. I mean, I'm sorry I cant even describe with words how much Homer means to me. Heck, for all of us! Every Simpsons fan knows that feeling that we get, when we watch an episode, and Homer is in the picture, and we're all just waiting to see what kind of hilarious, stupid, wise, heartattack causing comment he's gonna deliver.

If only I could be half the man that Homer is, when i'm that old(no one even knows how old he is), that would be the biggest achievement of my life.

We all love him. We always will. No matter what he does.

And to conclude this weeks list, I am honored to quote the big man himself, a wise and important lesson for ALL of us.

"Here's to alcohol, the cause of -and solution- to all of life's problems!" - Homer Simpson

Thank you.

Sunday, November 18

This weeks conclusion

Well it's been quite a week. So many things have happened, I'm not even gonna mention them here. You know.

Tomorrow i'll get to the Top 5 of the week, which will include some things i'll want you people to keep your eyes on.

And also there is a special someone out there who i'd like to mention, cause this person is very special and deserves this sentence to be said, you know who you are ;)

So to sum up, good week, not as good for some of you, next week is right around the corner and my prediction says that its gonna be a pretty awesome week!

Of course if you have any faith in my predictions, you're way off matey. I'm sorry but this just had to be said.

Cya tomorrow!

JOKINEN!!

Oh yes, its about time this happened.

Jussi JOkinen scored 4, yes FOUR GOALS last night when Dallas crushed the Avs!!

It is a good day for finnish hockey.

Its a damn good day.

Kiitos Jussi.

Saturday, November 17

Rum....

Saturday! Or as we in Finland call it, Alcholday!

Okay kids, here's a very important lesson for you all out there. This may come as a shock, im sure you're just about now drinking this shit without realizing it...

But RUM is bad!!

Just had a drink, and let me tell you something, it's like getting a hangover in 10 seconds.

For those of you who love this shit, drink it like water every day, i've got something to say to you: Get help! And before that, tell me your secret in how you can drink this more than once.

For those of you who haven't tasted it yet, well i've got something to say to you too: TASTE IT! So you'll know how it feels! And i'll bet ya you wont drink it again....but if you do, read the above!

Kids there are much better things to drink, vodka, beer and even CIDER! Yes!

Now go out and have a fun saturday, drink 'till ya pass out, and get back to me tomorrow and tell me how you feel.

Friday, November 16

Zetterberg "swedish" penalty shot

This is something for all hockey fans around the world. If you havent seen this penalty shot, you have to see it.

Basically what Zetterberg does, is pulling off probably the most "swedish" deke that there is. Only real swedish players pull off theese kind of dekes. Amazing. It's the 6th Top Play. About 2.40 into the clip.

ESP guitars

So the seasons are changing, snow has started to fall here in Helsinki, the winter is here.

Christmas is just around the corner, and the time to change guitar has come.
I've been toghether with my Tenson Stratocaster for about 3 years now, and we both agree that it's time to see other people, for me, other guitars.

Now my buddy is considering buying the ESP M-200FM, which is a very nice guitar.
And for that price, its not too shabby. He's a guy who knows his guitars(mostly), at least more than me, so I might just "stjärta"(the best swedish expression of the word 'imitate') him and get the same one.

Well I've had my eyes on the ESP F-100FM , its a little cheaper, but again for the price, its not that bad. I like the shape of the F models, and with the 24xj frets, soloing is not a problem.

But im not much of a soloer myself, I prefer riffs, so thats why the ESP EX-260 is just my taste.

The EX-260 has got better pickups, LH-300 set, while the ESP M-100 only has LH-150 set. The EMG-ESP LH-300 looks sexier too, so that might be the one for me.

Thats just for the guitars, since I got my Strat with a sucky Tenson amp, like 15W, I think we all can agree that that's just sad. So the scouting for a new Amp should begin pretty soon too.

But not yet!

Guitar first. Always the guitar first. The guitar should be your soulmate, your life partner, your other half. Amps will come and go, but the guitar is for life.

ok...

Let's not get emotional here.

I'll get back with the Amp scouting next week. Oh right if you wanna make a donation so I can get my new guitar, please, contact me in some way and you'll get your chance to give me the money. Its a win-win situation =D

Thursday, November 15

Dallas loose SH

son of a B****!! Dallas lost again.

In a shootout... and Jussi Jokinen failed to score a shootout goal...sad...so sad...

On a positive note, Jere Lehtinen scored a goal and a assist, and Niklas Hagman scored a goal.

F*** San Jose.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/recap?gameId=271114009

If you didnt get it, im quite agitated right now...need to eat something before I kill someone and eat them instead.

Wednesday, November 14

Last nights game.

So much for my genious predictions.

This was my bet:

Detroit - St.Louis ---- 3-1
Montreal - Toronto ---- 2-4
Calgary - Minnesota ----- 2-3

This was the result:

Detroit - St.Louis ---- 3-4
Montreal - Toronto ---- 4-3
Calgary - Minnesota ---- 3-2

For gods sake it had to be Montreal's first win against Toronto this year.

And St.Louis just had to put up a fight against one of NHL's best teams now.... just my luck.

Don't you just love spanish people...

So I was waiting for the bus today on my way from work, and this spanish tourist stood there and wondered. He approached me and we had the most prolific talk.

He spoke with a very heavy spanish accent.

Tourist: Is this bus stop?
Me: Si

Tourist: Number 110 bus here?
Me: Si

Tourist: Goes to Tapiola?
Me: Ah..Si

Tourist: Thank you, thank you.
Me: I do understand a little spanish...

Tourist: Ah! ¿Los autobuses sale con que frecuencia?
Me: umm......no.

He laughed his ass off while I stood there like a idiot. Spanish Dictionary anyone?

Tuesday, November 13

On different note...

San Jose blanked out Phoenix yesterday.

Thornton scored 2 goals, and got 1 assist. Amazing. Probably one of the best young veteran player out there. Although I feel a little bad for Phoenix and The Great one, I think he really deserves a couple of wins and a run in the playoffs.

But this is actually a good thing for players and coaches to know; You dont have to be a good player, in order to be a good coach. And you don't have to be a good coach, in order to be a good player. Gretzky is a perfect example of this.

Of course much depends on the players in a team aswell, but Phoenix roster isn't that bad. I am hoping they make it to playoffs this year. Lets cross our fingers.

Sidney Crosby... we're running out of words to describe this wonderchild.(there's one more)

Scored a goal, and got a assist in last nights game. He's soon going to pass Zetterberg in the scoreboard. And I wouldnt be suprised if he won the Art Ross Trophie this year too... Hope Pens get a better run at the playoffs this year too.

Predictions for tonights games:

Detroid - St.Louis ------- Clearly, Detroit will win this one. 3-1
Montreal - Toronto ------- Toronto is having a good streak going. 2-4
Minnesota - Calgary -------- Keenan isn't helping Calgary, Minnesota will bring em down. 3-2

Iron Maiden, next summer

So the tickets for the Iron Maiden concert here in Finland were all sold out in two hours...

And the tickets in Sweden(they play in Sweden 16/7, and in Finland 18/7), were sold in two and a half. Great..

And I sit here with none. Just fantastic. And a couple of my friends already got tickets...

Well screw them if there's a loving and trusting God up there i'll probably get my hands on a ticket through Ebay or something. I'll probably have to pay double, but for Iron Maiden, who wouldnt?

It is interesting how it seems that hardcore fans of theese NWOBHM(New wave of british heavy metal) only seem to like the old songs. Theese bands are desperately trying to make comebacks and release more albums, but still fans only want to hear the old songs on concerts. Well I agree with the fans.

Songs that i'd like to hear on the Iron Maiden concert? Ohhh lets see.....Prowler, Phantom of the Opera, Fear of the Dark, The Trooper, Aces High, Run to the Hills....the list goes on forever.

IF they decide to play Phantom of the Opera, please please play it at the speed like it was meant to be played. When they played it at Ullevi(SWE) 2005, it was so goddamn slow I bet half of the audience fell asleep.

Monday, November 12

Top 5 - Week 46

Okay it's monday, that means its time for Top 5 of the week! And since this is the first time, i'll easy you all in to what this is about.

The Top 5 list, is basically a list of five things, that I think deserve as much spotlight as it can get. Now granted, this is not the most visited webpage in the world, but at least it's something.

Remember, it's the gesture that counts! (sometimes)

.5 Yoghurt

Yoghurt

Yes, this is not an illusion, you are in fact reading Yoghurt! This is probably the most underappreciated nutritiunal and tasty...kind of food there is. And its so wierd, think about it, its not really a beverage, and its not like bread, its not consistent. Not only is it healthy, but it tastes very good. Imagine, strawberry flavoured, vanilla....ohh yeah. Basically if you don't like youghurt, stop reading and don't come back. That's right, I went there.

.4 Henrik Zetterberg

What is red, white, swedish and is making Detroit to love falukorv? Henrik Zetterberg

I'm not a Red Wings fan per se, but what "Zäta" is doing over there in NHL right now is just amazing. I can remember like 2-3 years ago, when people were talking about him, saying that he is a potential player, and everyone just sat and waited for him to light up and take charge. They waited, and waited, and now finally he's being the player he can be.

Kudos for Zetterberg. Red Wings f*****

.3 Niklas Bäckström

Well it seems only appropriate to put a finnish player right after Zetterberg(I'm swedish myself, but thanks to my mom I'm on the finnish side when it comes to sports).

Unfortunately there's been a lack of finnish starpower in the NHL lately, but since I just gotta do it, i'll give a shout out to Niklas Bäckström cause he's a big reason for Minnesotas uprising. Thanks Becker.

.2 Metallica

As time will pass, you readers will slowly realize that I love Metallica...quite a bit actually. Well I'm gonna be precise here, I love the old Metallica. Not only did Iron Maiden have the Golden Years, Metallica did too. From 1982 to 1992, Metallica were the kings of thrash, and even when I'm listening to them today, I still get chills of Hetfields whopping riffs and Hammet's beautiful solos.

.1 Fender Heavy Pick

The Number 1, king daddy of the Top 5 list this week goes out to the Fender Heavy Pick that I bought recently. Its basically the best pick i've every played with so far. I cannot even describe the feeling I get when I play riffs with this pick, it just feels plain right. If you don't own one, get one.

Oh and mine is a little thicker than that one. Just better.

The Portal Is Open!

Finally!! Well people after much consideration I've finally decided to follow with the trend of blogging! (I know, I was suprised too)

Here you will, as in most blogs, find as much unnecessary information as a human brain can take, along with some of my own comments of things that are happening in this blessed world of ours(yeah right..)

I'll try weekly to post a Top 5 list, of things that seem important for me to get out there.

Thats all for the introduction speech. Happy reading!
